Some Studio Fun

I had a great weekend learning lots of new techniques for studio portraiture. The class was great, and it showed me how much I can do with just a little bit of confidence and a lot of trial and error. The best part about studio lights are the million different moods that can be created just by adding a light or two. I still have SO much to learn... but below are a few fun pics from the weekend. Enjoy!

A little more Hawaiian lovin'

And as the snow continues to fall, I continue to stalk my happy Hawaiian days. I'm so excited for what 2011 will bring, but SO OVER winter in Chicago! What is crazy about the pictures below is that they were all taken the same day! I mean, look at the sky, it changes its mind in Hawaii about as much as I change my mind in real life ;)

Enjoy!!!

Seasonal Depression

In the effort to get rid of my January blues, I am revisiting pictures of our fabulous honeymoon to clear my head. There are SO many to look at! I realized that I haven't posted even half of the awesome shots... So, the next few posts will be more pictures from Hawaii. Remembering paradise is the only thing that gets me through single digit weather.

Enjoy the view:

A New Year - The Year of the Turtle

I thought that I would make my first post of 2011 a dedication to the new year! 2010 was a monumental year for me - I married the man of my dreams, had the most unbelievable wedding, breathtaking honeymoon, became a yogi, and discovered a new side of me with my passion for photography. I am usually one of those people who is guilty of having a new hobby every other month. I blame it on my zodiac sign - I'm a Gemini after all, and we are notorious for changing our minds. This however, my love for photography, is is definitely not a trend. So here's to 2011 - continuing my journey into the world of photography. I'm sealing my kickoff with a Tribute to the Laughing Turtle Blog - with none other than Sea Turtles from Maui ;)
