Wedding Class
I took a wedding photography class over the weekend which was really great. My instructor was a successful Chicago wedding photographer. She and her husband have been in the business for almost 10 years. She talked to us about the key success factors and brought models in to let us work on directing couples on how to pose, work with assertiveness and getting the shot in the shortest amount of time. Not sure if weddings are in my future, but I found the class incredibly worthwhile. I managed to get a few great shots too! Check them out - oh and special thanks to the great models!

Green City Market has arrived
I was supposed to take pictures today of two adorable kiddos; but the crummy weather forced us to reschedule. Instead, I got up early and headed down to the Green City Farmers Market. It wasn't exactly the experience I remembered from years prior. I think about 1/4 of the vendors set up shop for today given the weather forecast. Needless to say I picked up some goodies and snapped a few pictures while I was there. I rented a lens for the weekend shoot (24-70) so I was happy to at least get a few snaps in.

Detachable Flash Class
I recently took a class at Chicago Photography Academy on detachable flash. To be honest, flash intimidates me. I've used it on my camera a few times but haven't necessarily loved the way my photos have turned out. I don't own any lighting equipment, so using a flash off camera is a really great way to have lighting options. It's so cool what you can do!! Check out some pictures from day!
