Kauai from Above

I have SO many amazing pictures to post from our honeymoon and I haven't been able to get around to it because of my work schedule. I have been on the road the last two weeks which has killed my ability to post. Sorry to those who might have lost interest in following me! I promise I will get better...

Anyways, when Ev and I were talking about what we wanted to do while in Hawaii, I really wanted to experience a helicopter tour in Kauai. When I was 8 years old I was lucky enough to go on one in Maui and I have vivid memories of the breathtaking views. I heard from one of my co-workers that Kauai offered an open door helicopter tour - I mean what could get cooler than that? I am definitely not scared of heights... and anytime I can add a rush of adrenaline to something I'm doing I jump at the chance. That is how I ended up bungee jumping when I studied abroad in Switzerland!

I convinced Ev but I was pretty bummed when I learned that I was going to be in the middle seat due to my weight - It took some creative finagling with my camera but I ended up getting still come pretty amazing pictures from the day. If you are ever lucky enough to visit the beautiful island of Kauai, I recommend doing a helicopter tour. Open door or closed you get a real appreciation of the beauty and dynamic change in terrain across the island. One minute you're in the midst of a luscious green mountain; the next you're across the "grand canyon of the pacific".

Check out some pics from above...
